While its popularity has waned in the digital age, photographing in black and white is still considered a key skill for the avid photographer. The class will begin with a discussion of techniques that make quality black and white photographs with focus on subject matter that works best when color isn't an option. Next, head outside into the garden and shoot for several hours before convening again to discuss images and experiences.
Please enter through the Business Entrance at 409 Conservatory Road. Prior to the start of class, you will receive a handout that discusses the equipment you should bring and the shooting considerations you should take into account. Participants must bring their own digital photographic equipment and are encouraged to bring a laptop computer and a flash drive to download images for the critique. Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera. Some activities are not applicable to point and shoot cameras. A tripod is optional, but highly recommended
There are still openings remaining at this time.
