Introduction to Ikebana

Floral Design Core Course
Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers. Ikebana values discipline, a knowledge of rules and forms, and an idealized approach to nature. This course will introduce you to Ikebana in general, as well as three different schools of study. Learn the history as well as the fundamental approach of each school. Using fresh flowers and greenery, students will create distinctive, elegant designs that exude a sense of harmony, balance, and well being.   

Please enter through the Business Entrance on Conservatory Road. Friday's class meets 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Saturday's class meets 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Lunch is included on Saturday. All containers and kenzans will be provided. Please bring floral scissors.
