Building on the information presented in "Introduction to School Gardening," this course delves deeper into the principles and considerations of designing school gardens as well as the tips and tricks for preparing and installing successful garden projects on the school grounds. Course activities include presentations on garden budgets and funding sources, visits to local school gardens, and hands-on activities. Participants will take part in collaborative working sessions focused on design, installation, and maintaining a sustainable school garden. Please bring a school site plan and/or measurements of the area of the grounds to be planted.
Cancellation Policy: Registration fees less 15% processing charge will be refunded if cancellation is received in writing at least 1 week before the course. No refunds will be issued within 1 week of the course start date.

For 12 hours of Act 48 credits, please bring your SSN or PPI. Delaware teachers will receive credit through the Delaware Teacher Center. The Delaware Teacher Center will also provide $50 reimbursement to Delaware teachers after completing the course.
