Course Description

Join renowned artists John Hulsey and Ann Trusty in the incomparable landscape of Longwood Gardens for a plein air painting workshop in watercolor. Learn the secrets of the pros from these two experienced and successful painters and teachers. These intensive 3-day workshops are designed to get you painting quickly. Demonstrations first thing each day will teach you composition, values, color mixing and brush handling techniques. Individual attention and constructive critiques will help you learn fast. As the workshop advances, so will your skills as you learn plein air painting techniques. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned painter, you should take a breath of fresh air and enhance your Plein Air painting techniques!

Please enter through the Business Entrance on Conservatory Road. Lunch is included every day. Students are responsible for their own travel, lodging, equipment and materials. A materials list and lodging suggestions will be supplied upon registration Attendees must make their own travel arrangements and hotel bookings. The workshop may be cancelled and tuition refunded 30 days prior to start of class if the minimum number of attendees is not reached. Participants acknowledge that they are physically able to walk distances and to carry their equipment/materials to painting locations. Participants acknowledge that neither the instructors nor the locations painted may be held responsible for personal injury or damage to property during the workshop.
