Course Description

Meets Horticultural Techniques class requirement
Using the Gardens as your classroom, learn to identify common diseases of trees, shrubs, and perennials. Effectively monitor landscapes by learning to recognize the symptoms of plant disease, the conditions that cause it, and when and how to apply controls. In-depth discussions will cover control measures including proper horticultural practices, sanitation, resistant cultivars, and fungicides.

Please enter through the Business Entrance on Conservatory Road. A 10X hand lens is suggested but not required for use in diagnosing plant diseases. Dress for the outdoors.
