Course Description

A brief illustrated lecture will start the day and cover the basics of composition - how you see the world around you. Bob will demonstrate approaches and strategies to creating dramatic garden vistas and inspiring floral portraits while considering and understanding the changing light of the day. Students will head to the gardens to capture their own compelling images. Afterwards, the class will reassemble, download photos, and engage in a lively critique of each others' work.

Please enter through the Business Entrance on Conservatory Road. Please bring your own SLR or Point and Shoot digital camera. Additional lenses, charged batteries, and tripods are welcome. If possible, also bring a laptop and card reader to download and edit your pictures. All students must be familiar with their own photographic equipment. This class will not emphasize individual camera technicalities nor will the instructor necessarily understand the operations of all camera brands. Continental breakfast is included.
